Getting your new baby’s layette ready

It is difficult to remain calm and balanced during the coronavirus pandemic, especially when we must swiftly adjust to our new world without knowing what awaits us. None of us expected 2020 to cut us off from the rest of the world and from each other.
Young mothers and pregnant women are undoubtedly under considerable stress, which is understandable. It’s easy to get lost in the avalanche of verified and unconfirmed data. However, unlike a bank loan, the approaching delivery cannot be postponed, and you must find yourself in an unfamiliar scenario. In an effort to be helpful this time, we’ve listed a few of our products below. They are an absolute must-have in any layette.
It’s all too easy to lose track of time while leafing through a lovely sewing book and failing to act on the new ideas and inspiration it generates. Action precedes creativity! Using my book The Quilter’s Field Guide to Color, the Quilter’s Color Quest urged you to expand your relationship with color. It’s been a fun 6-month adventure!
I understand that this year has been jam-packed with unforeseen challenges, so it’s understandable if you didn’t get a chance to participate. Friends, it’s still not too late! I’m keeping track of all the Quilter’s Color Quest posts here so you can catch up when the time comes.
However, since I don’t require a Baby Quilt Set, I’ve listed it on my Handmades shop. I ship from the Netherlands, but I’m willing to ship anywhere in the world. Please contact us for a custom delivery quote.
All babies that enjoy bright, bold, and beautiful colors are invited! Anna Maria Horner fabrics from her Hindsight line are used for the backing. A simple quilt back provided the perfect opportunity to showcase these eye-catching designs.
Cotton beanie
A thick cotton hat is the best way to keep a little head warm. It’s composed of OEKO-TEX TM 100 certified cotton that’s comfortable to the touch. Above all, it ensures that your baby’s temperature is maintained at an appropriate level from the moment he or she is born.
Wrapping cape
Our multifunctional wrapping cape is ideal for the first few weeks of a baby’s life. Its characteristics provide both babies and parents with comfort and a sense of security. It makes it easy to appropriately hold the newborn. It’s ideal for tummy time because it’s soft and pleasant.

Swaddle
Swaddles made of bamboo or muslin have a plethora of uses and are a must-have in any layette. They are used in a variety of different scenarios, including wiping the face or changing diapers. They help protect the infant when breastfeeding and keep it warm. Furthermore, this high-quality fabric can resist numerous washes and years of use.
Blanket
No matter what time of year it is, the blanket is useful. It shields the baby from the elements, such as the cold and wind. We have blankets in a variety of fabrics, thicknesses, and sizes. Both at home and on a walk, these things are ideal.
Hooded towel
Bathing a newborn is often a source of anxiety for parents. Regrettably, not all babies enjoy it. We hope that using our towels will make this time more enjoyable and comfortable. Natural terry cotton softens with each wash, and a delicate hood keeps the baby’s head from overheating.
