Goechala Trek
Goechala remains one of the top treks among Himalayan treks in the Sikkim region. The spectacular view of the grand mountains remains the biggest reason to do Goechala trek. Not only the Kanchenjunga summit but also other 14 big summits. No other trek in the Himalayas offers such a wide range of experience of summits up close. Goechala comes closest to being the big mountain conquering expedition. The trail of the Goechala goes through some of the stunning rhododendron trees with vibrant colours in the spring months of April and May. The trek takes you up to a height of 12,516 ft from where the hikers can enjoy the view of some of the most celebrated peaks of Mt. Nanda Ghunti and Mt. Trishul. This trek spans over a period of 4 days which covers a total of 22 km of distance. Compared to some of the other Himalayan treks, Kuari Pass offers so much in such a small span of time.
You get a close up look of the Dronagiri Peak and Nanda Devi Mountain. The forest walk is enchanting enough to teleport you to a fantasy land of your own with snow draping trees in the winters. Not only the forest trails but also the Gorson Bugyal are charming treats of nature that take your breath away. Views of the mountain peaks like Chaukhamba and Hathi Ghoda also have noticeable attractions on your way to the top.
